Դրամաշնորհային ծրագրերը պետք է իրականացվեն Վանաձորում և/կամ Գյումրիում ու տևեն առավելագույնը 7 ամիս:

“Vanadzor Municipality Staff” Community Management Institution (Implementer) within its “Alliance for Better City Governance” project funded by European Union is announcing call for proposals. The project aims at:
- Contributing to sustainable urban management in Vanadzor and Gyumri communities by regulating policies and procedures in that area, improving the quality of services.
- Improving the sustainable urban management, policies and tools of Vanadzor and Gyumri cities,
- Supporting the cities of Vanadzor and Gyumri in creating a clean environment and providing improved urban management,
- Introducing a “smart” system of “green” public transport management,
- Implementing a GIS system,
- Improving the capacities of the staffs of Vanadzor and Gyumri municipal governments,
- Installing a plastic recycling line in each community,
- Implementing public initiatives aimed at environmental protection.
Within the call for proposals, the Implementer invites the interested organizations and legal persons to apply for grants between 20,000EUR and 60,000EUR to implement project(s) which should be related to one or few of the suggested topics and be in line with principles of the Green Deal:
- advocating for environmental protection,
- promoting and supporting proper waste management and transition to circular economy,
- increasing environmental awareness,
- promoting green tech and green innovation,
- promoting environmentally conscious practices among citizens and businesses in the field of sustainable transportation and waste management
Actions may include, but are not limited to the activities such as:
- Development of digital solutions to increase awareness about proper waste management and sustainable transportation,
- Development of pilot projects related to extended producers’ responsibility and deposit system schemes,
- Development of environmental educational centers,
- Improved data collection systems in waste management and emissions
- Improved sustainable transportation systems
- Development of system providing environmental information
- Awareness raising campaigns/actions on waste management and transportation systems
- Engaging with business and decision makers to promote transition to climate-resilient, low-emission circular economy
- Local initiatives on organic and solid waste management systems,
- Local initiatives on 3Rs,
- Local green tourism initiatives,
- Capacity building of NGOs and other stakeholders to monitor and evaluate environmental problems,
- Local actions to support the ban on single-use, not recyclable plastics,
- Development of citizen engagement mechanisms in line with new transportation systems,
- Introduction of management systems to avoid open burning of waste,
- Introduction of evaluation systems to track customer satisfaction levels.
Eligibility
The applicant organization(s) can apply either on their own or in a consortium
Lead applicant
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal entity registered in Armenia
- be non-profit-making and non-governmental organization
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant (if any)
- design and implement the proposed project in Vanadzor and/or Gyumri
Co-applicant (if applicable)
In order to be eligible for a grant, the co-applicant must:
- be a legal entity registered in Armenia
- be a research institution/think tank and/or other non-profit-making and non-governmental organization
Location: All projects should be implemented in Vanadzor and/or Gyumri
Duration of the proposed projects: Up to 7 months
Application deadline: September 24, 2023
Start of the approved projects: October, 2023
